The GTAV with support from Skills Victoria (DIIRD) is continuing the Out of Trade program to assist apprentices whom currently do not have an employer.

All apprentices in this situation are able to continue with their training, and GTAV OOT Consultant will assist in finding the apprentice a new employer.

Over the past 18 months GTAV have assisted over 200 apprentices which had a cancelled training/employment contract find a new employer to continue their apprenticeship.  

During 2010/11 the program has been extended to also assist apprentices that have (or near to) completing the training component of their apprenticeship. GTAV can assist apprentices in this situation to fully complete their apprenticeship, which may occur through a short term placement / recommencement contract or workplace simulation program.
