Two GTAV Fellowships awarded at the State Conference dinner.
This week two very deserving award recipients were presented with a fellowship of GTAV. The fellowship award is the highest award possible given by GTAV, and Geoffrey Foster (Skills Victoria – DIIRD) and Mike O’Brien (G-Force) have joined 5 past members of this exclusive club.

Mike O’Brien
Mike has made many contributions to the development of G-Force and Group Training in Victoria and nationally. Through his leadership on the Group Training Victoria and National Boards and various committees, Mike has always provided sound advice and guidance to member companies when the need arose. Mike was also a leader in growing his organization beyond group training operations to make the company stronger. This in turn guaranteed the organisations long term future with or without government funding for the group training operations. Mike provided the dedication and leadership along with others members to assist the association move forward and develop into a strong and respected association amongst government, other group training associations and business within Victoria over the past 11 years. |

Geoffrey Foster
Geoff joined the Victorian public service in January 1975, in the Department of Labour and Industry He was assigned to work at the Apprenticeship Commission of Victoria (ACV) and was instrumental in the setup and development of Group training over the past 25 years. Geoff has worked on a range of committees and with various governments over his 35 years of service. Geoff has been a strong advocate of group training, and has contributed to the various network meetings and conferences held by GTAV association, and made countless presentations during the past 25 years since the association was formed. |
