GTAV End-of-year State Conference wrap-up
For the first time, GTAV ran its first combined State and Training Managers Conference at Bayview Eden, Albert Park. We were very pleased with how the event transpired with over 60 delegates, guest speakers, board members and staff in attendance.
The conference kicked off with an afternoon of Golf at the Albert Park Golf Course where endurance and skill was put to the ultimate test by the unforgiving sun and strong winds. A great afternoon was had by all and we would like to thank everyone who played on as well as the days sponsors CareerOne and JobReady.
Congratulations to the AFL SportsReady team who won the Ambrose event. Congratulations to Peter Treseder and David Edgar for winning the neares to the pin competitions.
We heard from some great speakers over the following 2 days:
- Nick Chaim, Skills Victoria
- Benedict Lyons, DEEWR
- Steve Bowman
- David Moody, WorkSafe
- Jim Barron & Jeff Priday, GTA National
- Michael Spencer, NIEIR
- Teresa Durka, Office of Policy, Research & Innovation
- Jo Lange, Education & Training Pty Ltd
- Carmel Kenneally, 370 Degrees
